TMoPB had good kissing without going overboard, so it can be done! Maybe that’s because of Mark Chao though, because Yang Mi isn’t very good. Is mandarin your mother language, KFG? C-dramas seem to be volume over quality, so I watch fewer of them than kdramas (which tend to be consistent, as in not so awful they make you cry. Who doesn’t want a surprise wedding?! It’s so romantic 😍

I’m still watching and I’m so in love with their wedding! It’s so perfect. The fact he’s 富二代 is random – he doesn’t even use that status at the beginning and then they can’t stop mentioning it in the second half he’s so awful to Mo Mo at the beginning and the reasons provided don’t make sense his ‘complicated’ relationship with his father who beats him but is secretly proud? and his ‘friendship’ with Gu Wei Yi never felt that easygoing. And I don’t know if it was bad writing of his character, the actor, or both, but they didn’t do a good job of creating likability or any depth. Fu Pei looked dishevelled a lot, like it was mentioned in your review. I gave them a chance, but their characters made me cringe. I ended up fast forwarding Fu Pei and Shan Shan though.

Why the cardboard kissing? Why? 😭 Why do they do a rotating camera around a kiss? Whose idea was that? Just make it a better kiss and give me fewer angles!!! What? Why?! *cries for all the good dramas ruined by god awful kissing – Ashes of Love, ALSB, LOVE O2O… 😢) Better than ALSB, but that set the bar low, like scraping the ground low. The meaningful glances were so sweet, the kisses were like … 😅 usual Chinese drama kisses. SOOooo much of that squealing feeling! 😍😍 The main leads have amazing chemistry. I just finished marathoning this! Found it really addictive because of all the feels in the first half. I was happy to see this show was still a high B for you, and thank you for listing all of the cute OTP moments - I loved reminiscing with you! Sorry that I ended up babbling more than I anticipated, and I hope I didn’t come off as aggressive in any of it. Also when they simultaneously quit for the unfair treatment, can we say strong female friendship and girl power? I think yes, in my book. However brief, her interactions with Mo Mo sometimes made her 10x the friend Shan Shan ever was. She was introduced as an ex rival, and then they became good office friends - which was really mature of them to put aside the past and be supportive of each other.

I’m aware that this became more than just two things, but while I’m here I wanted to mention I’m also surprised you didn’t mention her coworker from the first advertisement agency she worked at I genuinely think Tu Jie Er and her relationship with Mo Mo was actually a highlight of the show. I do have to briefly mention that I’m disappointed you didn’t say anything about the flash forward epilogue scene with their son that was peak cuteness and you can tell with that small scene that he inherited both of his parents’ BEST qualities!! It was too cute to ignore, so I was shocked you didn’t say anything about it. I think that made the whole mug thing even better because he took the time and care to put it back together for her, it just felt very in character for him. Later when it was revealed that his father worked on restoring artifacts and items made of things like ceramic and porcelain - and that Gu Wei Yi also mastered the art - I’m pretty sure it implied that he used those methods to restore her mug because he couldn’t actually replace it, like you had mentioned. Let’s just say, I’m glad they weren’t the main couple :/Ģ) I don’t know if we watched different translated versions or something, but I have to talk about the Doraemon mug I believe both Mo Mo and her mother mentioned that it was a limited edition mug, and there was a scene where Gu Wei Yi was looking for it online and couldn’t find it. For example, the Fu Pei and Shan Shan relationship felt forced, and they only seemed to bring out the worst in each other, so I treated their scenes with a lot of indifference if I let myself care about how much they generally sucked as a pair then I would’ve been putting myself into a pit of unnecessary despair.
